For the drink section, I present a creation of the bartenders of The Noble experiment of Santarcangelo di Romagna. This drink is a twist on the classic Mint Julep.
For those who don’t know, Mint Julep is a refreshing drink based on American whiskey, angostura bitters, mint and a lot of crushed ice! Great to drink in the summer, why not on the beach. The twist proposed in this recipe, implements the use of dried eucalyptus leaves, with a fresh and balsamic aroma.
- 2 barspoons white sugar
- 2 cl water
- 6 cl Wild Turkey 101
- 2 teaspoons dried eucalyptus leaves
After dissolving the sugar in the water, put the eucalyptus leaves and whiskey. Mix with the barspoon until the leaves are rehydrated and they will release the aroma (taste it!). Fill the glass with crushed ice. Crushed ice is great in these drinks that have a sustained alcohol content because, thanks to the greater ice-liquid contact surface, it cools and dilutes the drink quickly.
